Junior Designer – Los Angeles
MASS Design Group’s Los Angeles-outpost is seeking to hire a Junior Designer for an initial 4-month short term contract, with the potential to be hired full-time. Considered applicants must have experience with CD sets, be comfortable with writing, and have strong graphic design skills.
Project responsibilities include assisting with architectural drawing preparation, marketing proposals, RFP submissions, in addition to providing general administrative support to Project Managers.
The applicant must have a 5-year professional bachelor's degree or a master's degree in architecture. Proficient in AutoCAD, Rhino, Microsoft Office as well as the Adobe Creative Suites.

2011 Summer Architectural Student Interns
Summer internship oppourtunity with HOK is open to current students who are returning to school next year. This opportunity is specific to the Chicago office.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Prepares and modifies architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc. as directed by others utilizing CAD/REVIT/BIM.
- Develops solutions to technical and design problems following established standards.
- Incorporates Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
Other Responsibilities:
- Prepares 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings.
- Builds models or prepares project boards for client/project team review.

Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Currently enrolled in an architecture or related degree program.
- Previous internship with an architectural or interior design firm preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Possess basic hand and CAD/REVIT/BIM drafting skills.
- Ability to build physical models.
- Basic knowledge in AutoCAD/Architectural Desktop/REVIT.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Basic knowledge in Revit is required.
- Basic knowledge in Ecotest is preferred.
- Proficiency in 3D Modeling software such as 3D Studio Max and Viz preferred.
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software preferred.
- Basic knowledge about sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines.
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work in team environment.

Growing architectural fabrication office seeks Entry level architectural drafter to collaborate on architectural shop construction drawings for large commercial and institutional projects. Position requires a high level of design sensibility, an ability to read architectural drawings, and very strong AutoCAD skills.
